Description (Service)

Cadets are encouraged to become active, responsible members of their communities

  • learn valuable life and work skills such as teamwork, leadership and citizenship

Training includes:

  • sailing, seamanship, range/marksmanship, music/band, sports/fitness, drill and leadership training
  • additional summer training programs take place at free cadet camps in Kingston ON, Comox BC or Nova Scotia 
  • international exchange programs and summer employment opportunities
  • high school volunteer hours earned 

Cadets are not part of the Canadian Forces, nor is there any expectation for them to join the military

Hours

Cadet training: Wed 6:15 pm-9:30 pm, Sep-Jun

  • additional weekend training depending on need/interest
