Description (Service) | The Salvation Army Burlington Community and Family Services provides food assistance * emergency housing * furniture and clothing assistance * advocacy and referral service Emergency services respond to a variety of emergency situations and include: * Halton Lighthouse emergency shelter in Oakville, for details see separate listing here * Food Bank, for details see separate listing here * clothing * some assistance with overdue utility bills Healthy lifestyle programs and transitional housing programs in partnership with regional government * call Halton Region directly at 905-825-6000 Other: * provides Christmas hampers and toys for those in need (partner in Christmas Toys for Tots Program) * camps in the summer |
