| Description (Service) | Prayer times: Five times daily: sunrise, mid-day, mid-afternoon, sunset, 1 1/2 hours after sunset (times vary) Programs: * Saturday School for children * Arabic/Islamic Weekend School (elementary-aged children), learn the Arabic language (sponsored by Halton District School Board) * Youth Forum (ages 12-18), a program to support, listen to and guide youth, and for learning the Arabic language * Quran classes (ages 6-11) * Young people's religious studies classes (age up to high school graduation) * Additional programs are organized by committees To confirm program details call Dr. Munawar at 905-632-8774 Events: Two major holy days based on the lunar calendar: Eid el Fitr celebrates the end of a month's fast * Eid el Adha celebrates the end of the Pilgrimage to Mecca Rental facilities: Hall with portable tables and chairs are available to rent * fees are on a sliding scale |
