Description (Service)

An innovative not-for-profit social enterprise focusing on partnership, mentorship and workforce development

  • works to build stronger connections between educators, employers and the students who will make up our future workforce
  • delivers an interactive and informative Career Awareness Program, facilitates meaningful experiential learning opportunities, hosts inspiring community events, and manages multiple online communities focusing on workforce development

Major programs and services:  

ApprenticeSearch.com: 

An online matching service that connects job seekers and employers in the skilled trades with personalized support

  • supports a variety of job seekers, including 0-year to 4th-year apprentices, and 'non-apprentices', such as individuals looking for trades experiences and general labourer roles
  • Job Coaches help ready candidates for their next role and provide candidates with necessary basic certifications, PPE and employment skills training
  • Job Developers provide services to employers who are hiring, including screening/shortlisting candidates and intentional matching for posted roles on our site

Career Awareness Program:  

Provides programs and services that support students as they prepare to transition into high school, allowing them to imagine a post-secondary pathway that will set them up for future success

  • interactive and student-driven Career Awareness Program provides students with access to current information on a wide range of career options for a variety of learners
  • program complements and extends career/life planning beyond the classroom and is designed to support students as they prepare to make the transition to secondary school

Ontario Career Lab:

A first-of-its-kind career coaching program in schools across Ontario, connecting Grade 9 and 10 students with mentors for real-world career conversations that inspire future readiness

  • supported by real-time labour market insights and emerging industry trends
  • through its Career Conversations model, the Ontario Career Lab invites professionals into classrooms to share their career journeys in small, interactive sessions

Women as Career Coaches (WACC): 

An evening event that brings together young women from the community with adult mentors from all pathways

  • engage in informal conversation, listen to a line-up of inspiring spotlight speakers, and participate in panel discussions about various career pathways
  • designed to provide the next generation with the opportunity to discover a wide range of potential career paths

Parents As Career Coaches (PACC):

A podcast aiming to educate parents, and other adult allies, on how to help launch young people on a trajectory to a fulfilling life, and how we can engage in meaningful conversations with young people surrounding their futures

  • 76% of young people look to family members as their top choice for accessing career-related information
  • features world-renowned industry leaders and education champions
