Description (Agency) Non-profit group of women of all ages (do not have to be a grandmother), that acts locally in support of the Stephen Lewis Foundation Grandmothers to Grandmothers campaign, which seeks to raise awareness and mobilize support for African grandmothers struggling to secure a future for their grandchildren orphaned or made vulnerable due to HIV/AIDS

Funds raised by Oomama, go directly to the Stephen Lewis Foundation Grandmothers Campaign which seeks to raise awareness and mobilize support for African grandmothers seeking to secure a future for their grandchildren orphaned or made vulnerable due to HIV/AIDS 
 
Donated funds are used to provide grandmothers with assistance for food, school fees and school uniforms for their grandchildren, counselling, social support, coffins for burial of loved ones and seed money for income-generating projects
Hours Meet third Tue of each month 9 am-12 noon - by Zoom or in person
Areas Served Halton Region ; Peel Region
Eligibility Women (not necessary to be a grandmother), new members welcome
