• serves all amputees, including adults and children
• assists war amputees and seriously disabled veterans
• funds artificial limbs and prosthetic fittings for all amputees
• educates amputees with information resources on all aspects of living with amputation
• advocates for the rights and interests of all amputees to access appropriate care and benefits
• works with the Orthotics and Prosthetics (O&P) industry to keep up to date with the latest developments in amputee care

Programs and initiatives include:

• Key Tags and Address Labels: produced at the organisation's sheltered workshop, employing amputees and people with disabilities
• Child Amputee (CHAMP): offers services to child amputees and their families to help them develop a positive approach to amputation and lead an independent life
• PLAYSAFE: a "kids-to-kids" approach designed to make children more aware of the dangers in their play environment
• DRIVESAFE: a "kids-to-adults" approach that promotes safe driving in order to prevent serious injury due to traffic accidents
• Operation Legacy: child amputees commemorate the sacrifices of soldiers and veterans who served and pay tribute to the war amputees who founded the CHAMP program
