Description and Service Details
Description (Service) COVID-19 Update: Office remains closed to the public; services provided remotely and online only. Visit website for updated information.

Services include:
  • assessment reports for secondary, postsecondary and technical qualifications
  • helps stakeholders to understand international educational credentials
  • ongoing liaison with governments, national academic assessment bodies and other credential evaluation agencies
  • designated by the Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship
Accepts requests worldwide for Ontario equivalency assessment.
Hours Telephone lines Mon-Thu 9 am-12 noon. Office hours (in-person submissions) Mon-Thu 12 noon-3 pm.

Eligibility Any person or organization requiring an equivalency assessment of non-Canadian educational training.
Application Submit an application form with the necessary documents and fee to obtain an Assessment Report . Application forms are available on website. All assessment requests must be submitted by mail, courier or in person to the ICAS office in Guelph. For technical assessments, call first to determine serviceability. ICAS has a separate application process for individuals applying for immigration to Canada as part of the Federal Skilled Worker program - see website for information.
