Description and Service Details
Description (Service) Develop short-term opportunities for work experience and skills development * sponsors are expected to share in the cost of the project within their ability * projects should be finite in nature and incremental to the sponsors' normal activities, and should provide a meaningful work experience and provide a benefit to the community or local economy, with the focus being on the participant
Hours Mon-Fri 8:30 am-5 pm * closed statutory holidays

Eligibility People who are unemployed and legally entitled to work in Canada who:
* are currently receiving Employment Insurance (EI) benefits, or had a claim end in the past three years, or
* received EI maternity or parental benefits in the last 5 years and are re-entering the labour force after having left it to care for newborn or newly adopted children

Eligible sponsors -- businesses, nonprofits, certain Crown corporations, municipalities, First Nations councils, public health and educational institutions
