Virtual Urgent Care

• for children and youth under 18 who are not experiencing a medical emergency but need timely medical assessment and treatment; in emergencies, contact 911

Virtual Urgent Care: Mon-Sun 9:15 am-9:30 pm

Children and youth younger than 18 years, with a valid OHIP card, who are not experiencing a medical emergency; child/youth must be in Ontario at time of virtual visit and attend the virtual visit  
 
Residency Requirements: Greater Toronto Area (GTA), Dufferin, South Simcoe, Northumberland, Peterborough, Kawartha Lakes and Haliburton, see map on website

No referral required;
Services accessed using a computer, smartphone, or tablet with video and microphone

• visit Virtual Urgent Care and click "Launch Virtual Care"
• new window will open and parent/caregiver will be asked to list child/youth's symptoms
• recommendations will display such as visit a primary care provider (paediatrician, family physician, nurse practitioner), visit local emergency department or when appropriate, it will let user book virtual urgent care
• to use virtual urgent care, patients need a quiet, secure space with stable internet access
