Description (Service) Services offered:
  • Emergency and Disaster Services (may include emergency lodging, reception and information, emergency food, emergency clothing, personal services and family reunification)

Bullying and Abuse Prevention - Promote safe and supportive relationships and healthy communities through educational programs and partnerships * service assists parents, teachers and youth and adults in the understanding of abuse, harassment and interpersonal violence issues * helps create a safer world for everyone

COVID-19 Emergency Support for Community Organizations - Offering two programs to support community organizations so they can continue to deliver vital services to those who are the most vulnerable to the health, social and economic impacts of COVID-19

Emergency and Disaster Services - Provide emergency relief at the time of a disaster, through the provision of food, clothing, emergency shelter, personal services and family reunification (Restoring Family Links Program - RFL), first aid, temporary care for unattended children and dependent elderly * in partnership with first responders, public officials, and in collaboration with other voluntary sector organizations * available to provide free emergency personal preparedness workshops * those affected by a personal disaster, such as a house fire, call 416-209-0432

First Aid and CPR - First Aid & Safety Services training for community and workplace:  all levels of first aid and CPR training * babysitting and injury prevention workshops * Leadership and Advanced First Aid courses * first aid courses are Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) approved * private customized courses for organized groups and workplace groups * first aid health and safety legislation

Swimming and Water Safety - Provides comprehensive learn-to-swim programs for all ages and a national lifeguard training program to certify professional lifeguards * information and resources around how to stay safe in, on and around water
