Services altered in response to COVID-19 (Coronavirus) 
Here is how we will be providing service at this time: 

  • Our 24/7 COAST Crisis Line will continue to be available at 1-877-825-901 
  • Clients in our community support programs, including Transitional Case Management, Crisis Outreach Program, Justice, and housing support programs, will receive support from staff by phone 
  • Our Information and Referral service will continue to be available at 905-315-8664 
  • Free Walk-In Counselling will be provided by phone rather than in person. Please call 289-291-5396 and you will be contacted by a counsellor within 24 business hours 
  • Peer Support group programming has been suspended, and Peer Mentors will be providing one-on-one support by phone. Please call Sandra at 905-691-3855 or Lynn at 289-834-3258 or Dave at 289-259-5092 
  • Registration for our Health Promotion courses is currently closed and training has been suspended.

Description and Service Details

Description (Service) COVID-19 Service Change: Teams of mental health and addiction clinicians are working virtually to support immediate access to assessment, virtual care and, if required, an in-person response.

Education and Training:
  • courses (anger management, applied suicide intervention skills training, mental health first aid)
  • workshops, displays and presentations on a variety of mental health issues
  • community mental health promotion
  • workplace mental health promotion

Support Coordination: 
  • one to one support for individuals living with serious mental illness * increasing coping skills * goal setting * planning * supportive counseling * education * advocacy * increasing quality of life including personal and social functioning * accessing community resources
  • Free Walk-In Counselling: temporarily on hold until further notice * service is being  provided via phone rather than in person * call 289-291-5396 and a counsellor will contact within 24 hours, Mon-Fri

Community Concurrent Disorders Program:
  • one to one support for individuals living with serious mental illness and addiction issues * increasing coping skills * goal setting * planning * supportive listening * education * advocacy * increasing quality of life including personal and social functioning * accessing community resources

Dual Diagnosis Program:
  • providing people with a dual diagnosis (mental illness and developmental disability) with opportunities for social interaction, learning new skills, encouragement of mental stimulation and physical well-being * participants must be referred and accepted into the program

Transitional Case Management Program:
  • Dual Diagnosis Program: for people who have both a mental health concern and /or intellectual disability
  • Justice Services: providing assistance and court support services for people who have a mental health/addiction concern and are involved in the criminal justice system
  • Court Support: for people who have a mental health and/or addiction concern and are accused of an offence * help patients get the mental health and/or addictions support they need while they are in the midst of court proceedings, such as the community treatment court
  • Release from Custody: help people to reintegrate back into the community in a safe and supportive manner
