Description (Service) |
- All incoming clients are referred to the program through the Region of Halton's housing list only
- Milton Transitional Housing does not provide emergency or short term shelter but is a bridge from short-term emergency shelter to long-term affordable/market housing at subsidized rental rates for people in housing crisis
- Participants required to undertake counseling and/or training on budgeting, nutrition, employment, as necessary
- Organizes 'The Coldest Night of the Year', annual Milton walk in support of Milton Transitional Housing
- Walk will be held on February 24th, 2024 to raise money for charities serving people experiencing homelessness, hurt, and hunger
