Description and Service Details
Description (Service) Literacy and basic skills training, including numeracy, digital, communication and interpersonal skills 
* helps learners prepare for employment, apprenticeship, secondary school credit, post secondary education and greater independence 
* volunteer tutors are trained in the internationally recognized Laubach method and then matched with a student 
 
Adult computer courses: 6 week computer instruction for adults with little or no computer skills 
* students improve job search skills and participate in hands-on exercises
Hours Mon 10 am-2 pm by appointment only, Thu 10 am-2 pm * hours may vary, see website to confirm

Eligibility Ages: 19 year(s) and up 
 
Ontario residents 19 years and older, with reading, writing and math skills below Grade 12 of the Ontario Curriculum 
* must have facility in English and possess a valid Social Insurance Number (SIN)
