Description and Service Details
Description (Service) A program to support newcomers by providing a mentor, a friend and a guide to ease the transition to a new way of life in Canada 
 
The program provides: 
* a needs assessment of a participant’s interests and needs  
* an orientation about the benefits as well as the responsibilities of the participants 
 
Trained volunteer mentors are matched with newcomers to provide support in five areas:  
* health and wellness 
* education  
* banking  
* public transportation  
* cultural exchange
Hours Mon-Fri 9 am-4:30 pm
