Description (Service) Involved in community service, with particular emphasis on children and youth work. 
 
Annual events:

* Shrimpfest Gala 
* Youth Appreciation Week  
* Annual essay writing and oratorical contests 
* Respect for First Responders Awards 
* Annual bursaries for graduating high school students 
 
Projects funded:  
* Don MacDonald Bursary and graduation awards to Oakville high school students  
* Junior Optimist Club for high school students 
* Jr. Junior Optimist Club for Grade 6 to 8 students 
* Central Ontario Leadership Seminar for one Grade 10 student from each Oakville secondary school 
* Scholarships via essay and oratorical contests 
* Youth Appreciation Awards to Oakville high schools 
* Assistance to attend school sponsored seminars 
* Sponsorship of Army, Air and Sea Cadets 
* Sponsorship of local sports teams 
* Various children and youth projects
Hours * Meet second and fourth Mon of each month from Sep to Jun (plus community events) at the Halton Regional Police Children's Safety Village
