Description (Service) The next Municipal election will be held on Monday, October 24, 2022 
 
During a municipal election, Town of Oakville citizens elect officials to the offices of Mayor, Town Councillors, Regional and Town Councillors, Regional Chair and various school board trustees for a four year term 
* to make sure you're on the Voters' List, visit VoterLookup.ca 
* for the most up-to-date information, visit elections.oakville.ca 
 
All eligible voters are encouraged to take advantage of the advance voting opportunities and can vote at any advanced voting location, available from Oct 6 to Oct 15 
* all locations are accessible and election officials have been trained to provide accessible customer service

* visit the Registered Candidates page for a list of persons that have filed all necessary papers

You are eligible to vote in Oakville’s municipal election if you are: 
* a Canadian citizen; 
* at least 18 years old; 
* a resident of Oakville or the owner or tenant of land in Oakville, or the spouse of such owner or tenant; and 
* not prohibited from voting by law
