International Driver's Permit (IDP)

  • CAA is the sole Canadian issuer of the International Driver's Permit (CAA membership not required) 
  • can be issued on the spot
  • requires valid Canadian driver's licence and two passport photos (can bring or have taken at CAA store)
  • valid for one year from date of issue
