Pedestrian and bicycle trails have been built through the valley system and link to community trails that run through the Town  
 
Oakville Trails:  
Glen Abbey Trail system:  
* connects all the creeks, woodlots and active parks in the community and is suitable for walking, biking or cross country skiing  
 
Indian Ridge Trail:  
* running east, north of the QEW, from Third Line to Dorval Drive, it is mountain bike friendly (no motorized vehicles)  
* cyclists must watch for pedestrians  
 
Iroquois Shoreline Woods :  
* the largest woodlot in the parks system and extends from Upper Middle Road to Iroquois Shore Road  
* walk up to 3 kilometres in a looped trail system viewing plants and wildlife in a relatively undisturbed woodland setting  
 
Larry Cain Trail:  
* located in Oakville Harbour, honours Oakville native and Olympic champion Larry Cain  
* trail extends from Hillmer Park, Water Street to Tannery Park in Oakville Harbour  
 
Oakville Heritage Trails:  
* Sixteen Mile Creek Trail  
* Bronte Creek Trail  
* Crosstown Trail  
* Joshua's Creek Trail  
* Waterfront Trail  
* link together all parts of the community  
* this network of trails includes pavilions, information columns and trail signage that, together with the website, tells the natural, human and built heritage story of Oakville
