Description and Service Details
Description (Service) Two programs are offered providing enhanced language training:  
 
Office Management: 
* develop communication skills including vocabulary, pronunciation, business writing and telephone  
* understand Canadian Workplace culture 
* upgrade computer skills in Advanced MS Excel 
* practice presentation skills 
* pre-employment preparation workshops, resume critiquing, networking, job search support and opportunities to gain practical work experience 
* 9 weeks full time  
 
Accounting: 
* develop communication skills including vocabulary, pronunciation, business writing and telephone  
* understand Canadian Workplace culture and Payroll basics 
* upgrade computer skills in QuickBooks and Advanced MS Excel 
* get information on CPA certification requirements 
* pre-employment preparation workshops, resume critiquing, networking, job search support and opportunities to gain practical work experience 
* 11 weeks full time 
 
* free Oakville Transit bus tickets and Care for Newcomer children (CNC) will be provided to eligible clients
Hours Office Mon, Tue, Wed, Fri 9 am-4:30 pm * Thu 9 am-8 pm 
ELT programs Mon-Fri 9 am-3 pm
Dates Two annual intakes for Accounting in April and January * two annual intakes for Office Management in August and October

Eligibility Ages: 18 year(s) and up 
 
Conventional refugees * permanent residents * Minister's Permit holders who are Internationally trained professionals and are able to demonstrate English language proficiency at Canadian language benchmark Level 7 or above
Application An intake interview and English Language Assessment will be arranged to determine eligibility.
