Description (Service) | Services altered in response to COVID-19 (Coronavirus) * Services have shifted to remote delivery * service delivery to new and existing clients will still be available via telephone or e-mail * for remote delivery program information, see here * or call 1-888-315-5521 -------------------------------------------- Personal workforce development services and specialized education programs include: Employment Services * include a range of career and employment-related programs and services, most of which are offered on a no-fee basis to qualified candidates Doorways * literacy, numeracy and essential skills services to assist in transitioning to employment, apprenticeship, secondary-school credit, post-secondary education or independence Skilled Trades Training Programs * pre-apprenticeship training designed to give clients the skills and experience they need to begin a new career in the skilled trades * programs involve comprehensive in-class and shop-floor training as well as job search assistance Services for Employers * provide hiring support for organizations English as a Second Language and Immigrant Services: * services at no cost for eligible immigrants in Halton Region Programs include: * LINC/ESL Classes (Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada and English as a Second Language) * Enhanced Language Training (ELT) for Internationally Trained Individuals * Home Renovation for Newcomers program * Settlement Information Specialists * Newcomer Support Coach (Crisis Support) Many of these programs and services are available at multiple locations in Halton Region |
