Description (Service) | The service offers a number of community initiatives for youth in Halton Region: Children's Safety Village * a miniature town with buildings, paved roads, traffic signals, railroad crossing and sidewalks on a 1.5 acre site adjacent to Police Headquarters * free field trips to Kindergarten, Grade 2 and Grade 3 classes in Halton Region * village is not open to the general public * for more information visit the website or contact Cindy Lawrence, Safety Village Coordinator at 905-878-4747 ext 5067 or email cindy.lawrence@haltonpolice.ca B.R.A.V.O.(Building Respect, Attitudes and Values with Others) * for Grade 6 students * teaches kids how to recognize and resist pressures that may influence them to experiment with alcohol, tobacco, marihuana and other drugs * also explores issues such as bullying, technology, and the law B.R.A.V.O.
