Money Management

Programs that provide assistance for people who want to build personal wealth, obtain credit and use it responsibly, access their credit reports and correct erroneous information, pay their bills in an orderly way, reduce their debt burden and/or manage their financial resources more effectively. The objective of money management programs is to help individuals and families become more financially stable and achieve long-term economic independence.

Debt/Overspending Support Groups

Mutual support groups whose members are individuals who have difficulty controlling their compulsion to spend money they do not have. Families and friends may also be welcome. The groups meet in-person, by telephone or via the Internet; provide emotional support, information and resources to help participants overcome their addiction to shopping and come to terms with their indebtedness; and may include faith-based and secular 12-step groups as well as non-12 step groups.
