Duties | Looking for a mature and responsible individual who has previous experience working with children, should be working in or working towards a career in social work, education, mental health services, etc. Will co-facilitate a social skills group for boys between the ages of 6-12 Must be willing to follow the program binder, facilitate group discussions, games and activities Program offered in Milton, Oakville and Burlington twice throughout the school year (Oct-Dec; Feb-Apr) Should be able to manage behaviours and use quick problem solving Should be outgoing, possess leadership skills, and work well on a team Commitment: 2-2.5hrs once a week for 10 weeks Must attend an interview, provide a current police check and references Must attend training upon placement | ||

Clients | Youth Aiding Youth (YAY) is a targeted prevention program for children between the ages of 6-12 who are "at-risk" of developing a mental health issue in the future. YAY offers free social skills groups for kids who need help developing their confidence, self-esteem, and social skills with their peers. | ||
