DutiesArt Etc. Gallery Shop volunteers assist customers with their purchases, process electronic sales, package purchases, re-stocking the shop floor and assist with inventory intake as well as with our art sales and rental program.

We also favour candidates who are comfortable with computers and point of sale systems. Creative individuals with a special eye for visual display are encouraged to apply.
Commitment LengthLong Term ; Training of new volunteers for the shop represents a fair investment of time and so we request a minimum commitment of 6 months at a commitment level of one 3-hour shift/week.

TrainingShop volunteers are trained during a series of shop shifts via shadowing experienced volunteers and staff as they perform shop duties. Further on-the-job training for any new duties is provided as needed.
Police CheckRequired
Additional RequirementsVolunteers who are new to the AGB are asked to visit the facility for an interview. We also request a resume, if available, as well as the names of two references. Art Etc. Gallery Shop candidates will be invited for a second interview with our shop manager prior to placement. Current police checks with vulnerable sector screening are required for adults. Gallery membership is also required for long-term volunteers. Financial assistance is available.
