Community Living Oakville is looking for individuals with a genuine interest in supporting people with developmental disabilities to live active, rewarding, and fulfilling lives in their community.

Duties

Volunteers will provide 1:1 companionship and support through friendly visiting & small group activities. Depending on the interests of the people we support, activities may include:

  • Reading a book together
  • Playing a board game
  • Making a craft or talking about current events

Volunteers may also attend community outings such as: 

  • Going to the gym
  • Attending church
  • Going for a walk
  • Meeting for coffee
  • Shopping
  • Attending a sports game or seeing a movie
