Alzheimer Society of Brant, Haldimand-Norfolk, Hamilton, Halton is actively recruiting volunteers to participate in the In-Home Social Recreation Program. This stimulating leisure experience can offer a short weekly respite for the care partner while delivering recreational activities to stimulate memory, confidence and overall quality of life.

Duties

Volunteers are matched with a person living with dementia based on location and common interests such as music preference, leisure activities and lifelong roles. The matches meet weekly for 90 minutes to ease social isolation and improve engagement of the person living with dementia while providing a short respite for the care partner.
