As an education assistant, you can volunteer for art classes, PA day camps, March break, summer camps, birthday parties and our very popular open studio sessions on Sunday afternoons. DutiesEducation Assistants help in our classes by taking part in the supervision and instruction of the children, assisting with the class administration (attendance, signing in and out of participants) and offering studio set-up and clean-up help before and after class.

Saturday session (2-hour classes that students volunteer for up to 10 weeks) 
Family sessions (Sunday afternoons - students can sign up for one off time slots) 
Open studio sessions (Sundays 1-4pm, teams are formed to create a rotational schedule) 
Birthday parties (occasional, 3 hours in length) 
PA day camps (9-4pm on PA days)
Interaction LevelSmall Group ; You have to be ready to jump in and help kids! Instructors depend on you for your support and participation.

We aim to have two volunteers in each class unless numbers are low, then one is sufficient. We attempt to work with any special requests for certain classes on a first come, first served basis.
TrainingOrientation ; Training is provided ; Orientation packages are sent out prior to the first class containing instructor, assignment and room locations as well as Health and Safety precautions. Specific room orientations are generally provided by the instructors as they will be seeking different levels and types of support depending on the age of the participants and the medium they are using.
