DutiesProvide emotional and social support to adults facing life-threatening illnesses. Only a few hours a week can make all the difference! 
- Offer support and companionship 
- Provide much-needed respite for a caregiver 
- Help clients with daily activities, like reading and writing 
- Support those struggling to cope with the loss of their loved one

Commitment LengthLong Term ; We ask for a minimum 1 year commitment, upon completion of your 10 week hospice orientation training session. 
Visits take place once a week for 1-2 hours in the client's home. Depending on the client's ability, volunteers may also take the client out for a walk or drive. These visits may also provide a break for the primary caregiver.
Interaction LevelOne-on-one ; Small Group ; One on one with the client. May include interaction with the client's family and/or caregiver(s). Ongoing communication with Program Coordinator.
