Comments | Recycling Revisited is a registered not-for-profit organization. We are a small but active organization with a 50-year history in Burlington. Presently, we need funds to make our activities possible. Our structure is a set of Action Groups, coordinated by the Board of Directors. | ||

Duties | You could work alone if you have a successful history in fundraising. Otherwise, you would be working with 2 or 3 other volunteers to collaborate in development of a fundraising campaign - using our newsletter, website (under construction) and Facebook. We are hoping for volunteers who are enthusiastic, creative, optimistic and somewhat experienced in environmental matters, and comfortable in collaborative action. Interest in tree-planting is desirable but not necessary. Due to Covid, we are not meeting in person, but on line (ZOOM, telephone communication, and email.) | ||

Clients | Our members are all volunteers, including the Board. We are rebuilding two committees (the Development Committee and the Youth Committee). Also we have a number of independent volunteers who are doing research, offering advisory action, etc. | ||

Seasons | Spring - We pick up steam quickly for tree planting and youth activities ; Summer - No scheduled meetings but ; Fall - final tree planting ; Winter - Regular meetings (on-line) ; Year Round - Essentially, we are active year-round ; We are very aware of Covid restrictions and careful about these in activities. Also, everyone needs to sign a waiver - even Board members. | ||
Accessibility | We occasionally meet individuals outdoors if they are fully vaccinated. | ||
Number of Positions | Burlington: 4 individual(s) ; Hamilton 4 individual(s) needed in total. Any community in the general area of Hamilton and Burlington is near enough for a vehicle owner. We do not reimburse for fuel.There is excellent public transit. | ||
Training | Orientation - You will have orientation including our history, mission, values, activities & plans. ; If you have a successful background in fundraising, you may be asked to advise and train us in fundraising approaches. | ||
Transportation | Near public transit ; Currently we are working on-line. When face to face meetings are possible, transportation is easy with GO and municipal public transit. | ||
