Comments | The purpose of the Oakville Chamber Orchestra (OCO), a registered Canadian charitable organization, is to enrich the culture of the community by creating a passion for live chamber music concerts, while developing local amateur musicians of all ages and promoting Canadian soloists. For the past 35+ seasons, the Oakville Chamber Orchestra has been exciting audiences with its chamber ensemble music played in up close and personal settings. The OCO performs classical music favourites, rare gems, and contemporary music. The OCO reaches out to the community with about 40 events (including concerts) per year, partnerships with other local arts organizations, and performances in Oakville public & Catholic Schools, at local Senior's Homes, and in collaboration with other charitable organizations. | ||

Duties | We are looking for a key board member interested in a hands-on role in Fundraising / Sponsor Development and relationship building; collaborating with a Board of Directors; working on Committees; grant writing. Our organization is based in Oakville. This position requires a commitment of about 5 hours per week and attendance at board meetings about 8 times per year. | ||
