CommentsThe Oakville Chamber Orchestra has a mandate to enrich the musical culture of the community by creating a passion for its live chamber music concerts; by developing and celebrating local amateur musicians of all ages and promoting Canadian soloists; and by managing an ever growing community outreach program.  
 
For the past 35+ music Seasons, the Oakville Chamber Orchestra has been exciting audiences with its passionate discovery of chamber ensemble music played in intimate settings. The OCO performs classical music favourites and also challenges listeners with rare gems and contemporary music. The OCO reaches out to the community with about 7 concerts per year, partnerships with other local arts organizations and numerous community gigs. 
 
Our community outreach program includes very young students to seniors, some suffering from Dementia. Our annual Youth Concerto Competition, now in its 7th year, attracts some of he most accomplished young musicians between the ages of 12-25 in Southern Ontario. With over 200 direct participants in 7 years, and prize money exceeding $15,000 in scholarships, competition is fierce. Winners earn the opportunity to perform as a soloist with the Oakville Chamber Orchestra and participate in our other community outreach programs. 
 
We are currently looking for a senior level and an associate level marketer to function as a team.

DutiesThis is a high profile volunteer position for an experienced marketing pro and for an associate 
• Responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive multi-channel marketing strategy that helps achieve objectives approved by the Board 
• Helps develop, execute and manage OCO’s brand, social media, website, publications, marketing, advertising, and communications in a proactive and strategic manner 
• Success is measured by achieving increasing levels of recognition of OCO leading to a target number of concert attendees and associated revenues  
• A passion for music and previous experience in event organizing is desirable  
• This position reports to the President

Dates and TimesMinimum would be 8-10 hours a week in the high season - much less in the summer.
SeasonsYear Round ; The OCO generally has 2 concert weekends in the fall and 2 in the spring. The team's efforts determine the level of excellence and success achieved.
