Duties

Teaching and working with youth (ages 9-12) for the Navy League Cadets of Canada (Halton Hills). Activities are based on a maritime theme. Must be available Wednesdays from 6:15-9:30pm and occasional weekends (a total of approximately 5 per year). Vulnerable sector screening (VSS) required for those who are apply prior to working with kids. Training will be provided onsite.

Duties may include:

  • supervising cadets
  • teaching based on cadet training standards
  • setting up and taking down training materials
  • reading and learning different teaching plans in order to teach the cadets
  • attend parade nights as well as a few activities on a weekend (ie. parades, weekend excursion, etc)
