Benefits | HFFT volunteers know that they are making a difference in the lives of the students they serve. Student Nutrition Programs ensure that all students have access to the healthy food they need to learn and grow. Being a part of our amazing team throughout Halton Region means that you care about the success of Halton Students. Our programs are great for volunteers of all ages. - Many Seniors find our programs a great way to connect to children in their community. - For newcomers to Canada, our programs can be a great way to connect and meet new people in a safe and reliable environment. - Students may volunteer in our programs but may find it difficult to volunteer outside of their own school. Many high schools have students volunteering before school in their breakfast programs. This is a convenient way to earn volunteer hours right in your own school. - Corporate volunteers find that volunteering in our programs is a great way to connect to the communities they serve. Corporations and businesses can sponsor a school and provide employees to volunteer throughout the school year. - Working parents who want to get involved in a school. Many of our programs are wrapped up before 9:00 am so that volunteers are able to get to their full-time jobs on time. |
