Duties | Visitor Services Volunteers are key members of the front of house team and serve as ambassadors of Oakville Galleries through their regular contact with members of the public at our location at Centennial Square (120 Navy Street, Oakville). They are trained volunteers interested in leading groups of visitors of all ages through the current exhibitions, opening conversations, and expanding the visitors’ experience with an appreciation for art. They ensure that visitors are informed of upcoming exhibitions, workshops and special programs, and OG membership benefits. Ideal Candidates Should:

Commitment Length | Medium Term (4 months to 1 year) ; Long Term ; We are looking for volunteers interested in volunteering 1 day per week for either a 6 month or year long term. Volunteer shifts are one day per week. Our gallery hours are Tuesday - Saturday from 10am - 5pm. |
Interaction Level | Solitary ; One-on-one ; Small Group ; Large Group ; The amount of gallery visitors determines the interaction level while the volunteer is at the gallery front desk. Volunteers will have regular check-ins and communication with full time staff during their shifts. |
