The Nutrience Oakville Half Marathon has strived to become the community’s finest recreational running event and generate significant charitable donations for its charity partners. Events include: Nutrience Half Marathon, 10K, 5K, TImbits 2K Fun Run/Walk and the Mutt Strutt 2K Fun Run/Walk. 
 
Participants hit the streets and paths that run along Oakville’s downtown and waterfront neighbourhoods and trails. There will also be celebrations at the finish line, featuring an awards ceremony and great entertainment.

Duties* Start and Finish Line  
* On-route Course Marshal  
* Sweep Pacer - we are seeking two individuals, one Sweep Pacer will be assigned to the 10K Race, the other to the Nutrience Oakville Half Marathon. -- the role of the Sweep Pacer is to follow each race and aid any runners seeking assistance, update the event staff via radio, and to advise the team when the last participant crosses the finish line.

INDIVIDUAL VOLUNTEERS 
We are currently in search of many more Course Marshals to be stationed along the route on Sunday. The shift time would be from 7:00 AM to 11:30 AM and will change slightly depending on your assigned location. All Course Marshals are required to attend a mandatory training session which they will be notified about via email closer to Race Weekend. We could also use assistance at our Runner’s Expo and start/finish area both taking place in Coronation Park, Oakville. 
 
ATTENTION GROUPS 
If you have a group of 10 or more and are able to assist with an aid station, cheer station or other areas please contact us directly at 905-949-1910 ext. 235. ‘Cheer Stations’ will be located between aid stations so if you have a group with lots of spirit and energy that want to be an official ‘Cheer Station’, let us know! Groups can include friends, family, a team, a cheerleading squad, a group of office friends, etc.
