Seniors Engagement and Empowerment Network led by seniors to educate and inspire seniors. 
 
Expand the awareness of elder abuse, including financial abuse in your communities. 
- Help in organizing training, info sessions, workshops and events to celebrate seniors in your communities 
- Support and encourage social participation and inclusion of seniors 
- Participate in the creation of flyers, calendars and other promotional materials for the purpose of the SEEN project 
- Assist with the production and distribution of promotional materials 
- Perform outreach activities and other related duties as required

Support out after school program staff member in running the program. This is an after school program that provides activities, recreation and a healthy snack to children aged 4 to 12. We have a staff member who plans and runs the program, volunteers responsibility would be to assist the staff person.

Help to clean up the kitchen and set tables for lunch. Assist with serving clients lunch. Assist with cleanup, loading dishwasher. Start the laundry after lunch.

Assisting staff with group activities such as: bowling, shuffleboard, golf, boccee ball, cards, tea parties, dancing, baking, crafts, music, serving lunches, serving snacks, drama, gardening,discussion groups, helping with laundry, dishes, etc. 
Provide one to one conversations with clients, give manicures, read stories, reminisce, play cards,etc. 
Bring your own special skills and perhaps start a new interest group.

There are many volunteer opportunities for students such as: 
1. help with computer work 
2. assist staff with one to one activities such as reading, talking, doing manicures, puzzles, crafts, cards 
3. assist staff with program activities such as carpet bowling, shuffle board, horseshoes, trivia 
4. assist by helping with the day to day organizational chores such as set up, clean up, laundry, tidying, crafts, bulletin boards  
5. help with special events such as Christmas party, garage sale, fundraising events.

Lead a small group of men (6-10) who are interested in woodworking, carpentry, and discussion. Do small projects with them. Make the time enjoyable, fun, informative.

Volunteers provide an empathetic, confidential, and non-judgmental telephone support service to callers in accordance with policies and guidelines learned in the training course.  
 
We do not give advice. Volunteers befriend and listen to callers, provide crisis prevention/intervention and help callers explore alternatives so they may find a solution to their particular situation.
