We are looking for insured, full G licensed drivers to expand our social and recreational programming. Drive our clients to our social recreational activities in one of our vans, (or your own vehicle; your choice.) Our activities run throughout the Halton Region during regular business hours. 
 
Training is provided and all expenses are covered. You are welcome to join our activities. Make some new friends, get some exercise, commune with nature or stretch your artistic talents, all while giving back to your community.  
 
Shifts are flexible and are offered throughout the region.  
Lived mental health experience considered an asset.

- Help at various displays around the Toronto and southern Ontario area 
- Interact with visitors to our displays 
- Tell the story of Signalers in Canada 
An interest in demonstrating the Vintage Signals equipment is needed.

- Sign in at volunteer sign in and put on name tag.  
- Report to recreation staff to be notified of specific tasks and duties to be performed during activity 
- Follow direction and instructions of recreation staff, by inviting and assisting the resident to the designated program area. This may including pushing residents in their wheelchairs. 
- Follow instructions for specific activities. Provide residents with verbal encouragement. 
- Upon completion of program assists residents back to their home area. 
- Assist with program area clean up. 
- Notify program staff of any issues or concerns that arose from the visit.

The responsibilities of a No Socks for Ivan Program volunteer include: 
- Helping to brainstorm and plan weekly activities, the sky is the limit! 
- Help us promote the activities via social media or by handing out flyers 
- Volunteers are also expected to attend program and help execute the planned activities 
- Volunteers also support with the set up and take down of activities 
- Volunteers must be comfortable enough to help implement the programming they plan 
- Volunteers are required to interact with the Youth during program hours

Assist with the delivery of special events.There are a variety of event components and duties to choose from that may include: serving refreshments, conducting tours, reception/admission duties, gift shop sales, assisting in the children’s activity area or set-up of equipment for the event (some heavy lifting may be required).
Darling Home for Kids

The Frontline Volunteer works alongside the professional care team and provides companionship to enhance the quality of life for our children during their stay at The Darling Home for Kids. Frontline volunteers are involved in our residential and respite programs.  
 
Our Frontline volunteers are with the children at the bedside, during activities, within the Snoezelen area, enjoying arts and crafts, spending time outside, and generally are there to support the child and Frontline staff with whatever activities are going on around the Home.  
 
Frontline volunteers must be at least 20 years of age.
