Autism Ontario-Central West Region offers programming and events for children, youth, and adults on the autism spectrum and their families. We are seeking new and past volunteers of all abilities to join our growing Autism Ontario volunteer community. There are multiple ways you can get involved at Autism Ontario. Volunteer artists will share their expertise in the arts with Educators, children and families. This may include planning materials and open-ended experiences that can be offered for children to represent their ideas and thinking through various types of art forms. Art forms include but not limited to: visual arts, movement/dance, music, dramatic arts or photography.

- To be an attending member of the Recycling Revisited Development Committee. (There is a possibility of taking part by teleconferencing). We prefer strong interest in the environment, community activity and group participation,and enjoy a diverse mix of members. 
 
- To engage in discussion, planning, advising, brainstorming and assisting with new projects.  
 
We need to create policies and procedures for making the public aware of the documentary, books, database and new website. We also need to gain more funds for printing of them and costs of our projects. We need to do planning and costing for our 2020 projects, and engage interested volunteers in those programs. Our Mission is to use the CCPC story in film and a book, to inspire today's citizens to take action on their current environmental concerns. This is of course in the large perspective of climate change. 
We believe that taking action on our concerns keeps us mentally and emotionally healthy, are doing our best, respectfully, to assist people of all ages in getting into positive action.

MCRC is currently seeking additional Board Directors for a minimum 2-year commitment to: 
-Utilize expertise in a professional field and provide counsel and advise to support the successful governance of the organization 
-Support and provide guidance to the Executive Director in accordance with the Board of Directors By-laws 
-Ensure Board By-laws remain current and relevant 
-Provide expertise and advice in the development of the overall strategic direction of the organization 
-Support and assist in the development of philanthropic resources and fundraising efforts; attend MCRC fundraising events 
-Understand and influence, where necessary, public policies that affect MCRC 
-Network within the community and advocate on behalf of the organization 
-Report to the community and stakeholders at the Annual General Meeting 
-Monitor and evaluate the Executive Director's performance 
-Participate on Board sub-committees and attend monthly Board meetings 
MCRC is especially interested in applicants from diverse backgrounds with expertise in not-for-profit operations and in Law and/or Human Resources.

As a trained volunteer, you can help those with the loss of a loved one, work through their grief and find a way to move forward. Visits can take place in their home or at another mutually convenient location. Wonderful training in one-on-one bereavement peer support is provided. After training, our Bereavement Coordinator will match you with a client to visit for a period of 3 to 12 months (depending on the client's needs), making all the difference in their journey through grief.

- Agree to work 20 hours per month on the crisis line  
- Must attend monthly volunteer meetings (6:30pm-8:30pm)
