Milton Relay For Life
As the Logistic Lead for Milton Relay For Life, you are positive, organized, resourceful, and can lift 30 lbs.  
You will work with other leads to plan the event day activities, including the timing for setup and take-down, and the schedule of events.  
You will also coordinate the location for any pick-ups and deliveries and provide logistics support to all committee members.  
You are a people person and will experience a strong sense of satisfaction when you facilitate all the pieces of the Relay event coming together.  
The committee will meet regularly over the course of the year, with increasing commitments as the event approaches

- Hands on labour as per the project time table (i.e. Cabinet removal, drywall, painting, flooring installation, gutter repairs/cleaning, building decks and fences, etc ) 
- Requires some physical strength to perform tasks as assigned 
- Able to take direction as required and seek out guidance on projects. 
- Perform assigned duties on renovation sites 
- Work in collaboration with fellow Crew Members and affiliate staff. 
- Maintain a clean and orderly work site at all time. 
- Strive for quality  
- Ensure safety on site at all times.  
- Contribute to a positive and rewarding work environment for all. 
- May need to load and unload delivery vehicles

● Test and repair electrical lighting and fixtures; 
● May be required to test large appliances 
● Adhere a “tested” sticker to the items tested – with date tested, name and any comments; 
● Train and mentor new volunteers as required; 
● Ensure work area is clean, tidy and safe at all times; 
● Be able to respond to customer inquiries regarding electrical products when needed; 
● Assist in providing information on Habitat for Humanity and making referrals when appropriate 
● Work collaboratively with other volunteers

HEN is currently seeking dedicated volunteers to support our community to divert waste at events in the community of Halton. Duties include working with the public, education, asking and instructing the public on recycling and composting to help support proper mitigation.

- Edit a large collection of videotaped interviews with individuals who were active in the Citizen Action in Burlington that pioneered city-wide recycling in Canada. The collection has been used in the completion of a 20-minute documentary. We intend to add more material from the collection to create a longer documentary on the same topic.  
- Create an "Interview Library" for our collection. Go over all of the footage for bits that need to be cut out due to misstatements, repetitions, interruptions, etc.
