Sell daffodil pins for a donation at various retail outlets in Halton, including Sobeys, Fortino's, Real Canadian Superstore and LCBO locations. Shifts are 3 hours and students are eligible for community hours. When you volunteer, you’re helping people live their lives more fully. Funds raised through our Daffodil Campaign are changing lives for the better.

Manage one or two daffodil pin sites (retail locations) over two or four consecutive days.  
Coordinate the scheduled volunteers at a local business . 
Call volunteers a few days before to remind them of their shift. 
Pick up needed items from office. 
Set up the supplies each morning, and give the volunteer directions. 
Check on the location throughout the day, and be on-call if a volunteer does not show up for their shift. 
Pick up all the supplies and funds at the end of each day. 
Act as a liaison between the site and office, relay messages and information to ensure smooth operations and successful sales.

• Work collaboratively with your Canadian Cancer Society staff partner and Canadian Cancer Society volunteers, providing leadership, support and guidance in planning and implementing Daffodil Days 
• Assist with recruitment, training and coordination of Daffodil Days Captains and day of volunteers. 
• Contact a variety of retail outlets to determine their willingness to have a daffodil pin display at their location during Daffodil Month 
• Provide support and resources to volunteers as appropriate.  
• Deliver supplies and displays at the end of March so they are ready for April and assist with the pick-up/restocking of the displays during and at the end of Daffodil Month
