Description (Service) | Services altered in response to COVID-19 (Coronavirus) * Thrift stores and Donor Welcome Centres have re-opened with special operating hours * For details in your area, search for your local store here ------------------------------ Nonprofit thrift store that accepts and sells used merchandise in good condition at fair prices to raise funds for the Salvation Army * also a collection site for recycling of unwanted small to medium consumer electronics Store accepts: * used books (hardcover and paperbacks in good condition, including some non-fiction - see Comments above for items that are not accepted) * jewellery * clothing & shoes * baby clothing * household items * small electronics * small appliances * furniture in good condition * walkers and wheelchairs * some sporting equipment (no helmets or CSA equipment) Bring donation to store during hours shown below Acceptable items for recycling of unwanted electronics include: * computers and parts * CD-ROM drives * fax machines * Flat Panel TVs * cell phones For more information on acceptable items see Recycle Your Electronics website here Does not accept industrial, commercial or institutional e-waste |
