Duties | Job Summary: Tutors will provide academic support, guidance, and mentorship to vulnerable youth in the Halton-Mississauga areas, with a focus on improving their knowledge and understanding of Reading, Science, Mathematics, and others. This will be online. Responsibilities:

Skills/Experience | Communication & Interpersonal Skills ; Confidentiality ; Dependability & Trustworthiness ; General Computer Skills ; • A genuine passion for education and a commitment to improving the lives of vulnerable youth. • Strong proficiency in STEM and other subjects. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively connect with and engage students from diverse backgrounds. • Ability and patience to work with slow learners and/or some with special learning needs. • Previous tutoring or teaching experience, especially in a one-on-one or small group setting, is preferred. • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the individual needs and learning styles of students. • Patience, empathy, and the ability to motivate and inspire students. • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for maintaining accurate records and monitoring student progress. • A reliable and committed attitude towards fulfilling the tutoring schedule and meeting program requirements. • Flexibility to work during the evenings and summer holidays, subject to availability. • Offers will be conditional upon the receipt of a clear vulnerable sector check (VSC) and the successful verification of your references. |
