Duties | NOW ENROLLING VOLUNTEERS FOR FALL 2022 High school students will mentor a child once a week after school, in a one-to-one relationship. Involves assisting a child in grade 3-8 with their homework, playing educational games, and developing organizational skills. Homework Club takes place at a number of elementary schools across Halton Region. In the 2020/2021 and 2021/2022 School Years, Homework Club has run entirely virtually on Zoom. Our hope for Fall 2022 is to return to IN-PERSON programs. | ||

Clients | Students in grades 3 to 8 in need of assistance with some aspect of their school work, social interaction, or a positive role model as recommended by teachers and principals. | ||

Transportation | Volunteers provide own transportation to designated elementary schools in Oakville, Milton or Georgetown. Volunteers choose the locations (from a list provided by BBBS) that are closest to their high school or home. | ||
