Duties | Volunteers drive clients to and from dining locations and can participate in the meal. A social outing for shut-in seniors every other week. Outing includes transportation by volunteers, if needed, to a local restaurant. Suitable for Adults and Seniors who have a good driving record. *Due to Covid-19 this program is on hold. Training | Orientation ; Training on the job ; Training on-going ; Orientation to the program. Other training opportunities are offered as available. Ongoing support from coordinator(s) is provided year round. |
Transportation | Car required ; 1 million dollar liability insurance required. |
Cost | Volunteers are responsible to obtain a Police Background Check with a Vulnerable Sector Screening prior to starting. Once volunteers begin, half the cost of the police check is reimbursed. |
